Academics

At Meadow Creek Childcare Center, learning begins with joy and purpose.
We believe every child is created by God with a curious mind and a heart ready to grow. That’s why academics are a high priority in our classrooms—from age 2 through pre-kindergarten.

Beginning at 2 years old, children receive daily academic instruction through hands-on activities, songs, stories, and structured play. Starting at age 3, each class participates in a daily preschool program built around a carefully selected, age-appropriate curriculum taught by experienced, caring teachers.

Our goal is to prepare children not only for school—but for life—with a strong foundation in faith, character, and a love for learning.

Our Curriculum

2-Year-Olds

Our youngest learners are introduced to letters, numbers, and Bible truths in fun, engaging ways.

Language Arts:

• Recognize names, sounds, and pictures for short vowels

• Recognize names and pictures for consonants

• Begin forming upper and lowercase vowels

Numbers:

• Count 1–30

• Understand number concepts 1–10

Bible:

• Learn hymns and choruses

• Memorize simple Bible verses

• Hear foundational Bible stories

3-Year-Olds

Building on early learning, three-year-olds begin developing stronger letter and number recognition through guided activities and stories.

Language Arts:

• Recognize names, sounds, and pictures for short vowels and consonants

• Practice forming upper and lowercase letters

Numbers:

• Count 1–50

• Understand number concepts 1–15

Bible:

• Explore lessons on creation, Noah, Samuel, Daniel, the boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus, and the Good Samaritan

4-Year-Olds (Pre-Kindergarten)

Our Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten readiness through phonics, reading, writing, math, and daily Bible instruction.

Language Arts:

• Phonics and early reading

• Recognize long and short vowels and consonants

• Sound out blends and simple words

• Read sentences and short stories

• Practice manuscript writing (letters, blends, words, and sentences)

• Write first name independently

Numbers:

• Recognize and count numbers 1–100

• Understand number concepts 1–20

• Identify numbers before and after (1–20)

• Learn basic addition facts (1+1 through 9+1)

Bible:

• Learn hymns and choruses

• Memorize key verses

• Explore lessons from Genesis, the life of Christ, and a salvation series
